Scheduled Maintenance
Migrate Mail-Relay

We will migrate our Mail-Relay to a new server.

  • This affects only a small fraction of managed-servers where that are explicitely configured to use this mail-relay for outbound mail
  • Since we migrate the IP address, there is no need for any configuration change on the managed-servers that send mail via this relay server
  • During the migration the system will be unavailable for a short period of approximately 5 to 10min

Start maintenance window: 16/03/2026 22:00
Stop maintenance window: 17/03/2026 01:00

Cluster Maintenance

We will update soft- and firmware throughout our cluster. During the update, a higher disk i/o latency is to be expected.

Start maintenance window: 16/03/2026 23:00
Stop maintenance window: 17/03/2026 02:00

Migration Recursive DNS Resolver Servers

We will migrate our recursive DNS resolver servers to a recent version on new servers.

The servers will keep their IP-Addresses and therefore no configuration change on systems relying on those name-servers for DNS lookups is needed.

We don't expect this change to cause any harm (due to having a redundant pair of nameservers), for the sake of safety we perform the switch-over during our maintenance-window.

This change only affects recursive DNS resolution. Our authoritative DNS servers (name servers) used for domains are not affected.

Start maintenance window: 16/03/2026 23:00
Stop maintenance window: 17/03/2022 02:00

Mailcow 2026-03

We will update Mailcow to version 2026-03.

Start maintenance window: 16/03/2026 23:00
Stop maintenance window: 17/03/2026 02:00

Managed Server Version 6/7: customized the WAF ruleset, scheduled 5 years ago

We noticed that the ModSecurity core rule set was sometimes too restrictive. We have therefore decided to remove the data leak rules (950-954) due to false alarms. These are rules that are intended to prevent an attacker from collecting information about the system, e.g. For example, if PHP code is returned instead of being executed. We have also deactivated the WAF in the backends of the following CMS systems: Neos, TYPO3 and Wordpress to simplify the use of our WAF.

If you notice any problems or have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
