Cockpit: Introduction of Ops One ID Login, scheduled 5 years ago

On Monday, 23.11.2020 13:00, the Cockpit login process will be switched to a single sign on approach based on the newly introduced Ops One ID.

On your first login after this change, you have to configure your personal Ops One ID therefore:

  • set new password through the "Forgot Password?" function
  • verify your e-mail address
  • configure 2-factor authentication (TOTP)

This steps will be required after 23.11. 13:00, and can be completed as of now by visting the Ops One ID Portal.

OTP configuration

  • there is only one single OTP configuration per user supported
  • for shared accounts, a single OTP secret is required
    • share OTP secret (Password Manager, oathtool)
    • share OTP setup QR code and scan the same code on multiple devices
  • please be advised that we recommend to use a dedicated user accounts for each person
