For GitLab CI Docker Machine Runners, we will update the host base image to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and add our internal Docker registry mirror to the default configuration to avoid rejected image pulls. For details, see the correspondent status messages for managed servers.
After the change, any new Docker Machine VMs will use the adjusted configuration. No running CI jobs or Docker Machine VMs will be affected, they just run with the old configuration until their shutdown a few minutes/hours later (depending on your CI workload).
